Sad Day

The California Supreme Court upheld Proposition 8. Inequality and bigotry is still alive and well in 21st century America.

This is a sad day indeed. A sad day for California. A sad day for the fair-minded people of the United States. But we will keep on fighting for equal rights for everyone in this country. Change for the better will come. Eventually.

For now though, we feel just sad.

That is all we have to say today.

It's really quite unbelievable. I haevn't read the decision yet, but from what I hear, it is based on the sound principles of mob rule. So much for the Constitution.

I've also been very dissapointed in Obama in recent weeks. Looks like he's thrown gay folks under the bus just like all his predecessors.

Very sad indeed.

(But there's always Canada, you know! :)
