And So It Starts...All Over Again

George and I made it back home from our vacation to Hong Kong all safe and sound. And we’re already back into the daily grind. Lots of new projects are starting to pile up at work. But that’s a good thing, especially under the current economic circumstances. This means job security, so I’m not complaining. And we need to catch up on a whole lot of other things at home too.

Unfortunately, both George and I got sick just as we arrived in Las Vegas. The weather was gorgeous in Hong Kong. Not so much in Las Vegas though as we were greeted by subzero temperatures and nasty winds. Which was followed by a rare snow storm. So here we are, sniffling, sneezing and coughing our way into the first week of the new year.

And just because it’s a new year doesn’t mean certain things will ever change. We’re all just starting the same routine all over again.

Of course, this also means it will take time before we’re able to post more about our amazing trip in the coming days or even weeks. We also took a ton of photos but we still need to sort through them. But it will happen...eventually. Or head on over to my Facebook page where I already posted a few pictures.

We’ll leave you with a few snippets on this here blog thingy though. All I can say is Hong Kong is one incredible city. Full of contrasts, traditions, modern inventions...and shopping malls. I’ve never seen so many malls in such a confined space. And people there love to shop. It is one wealthy city.

So, in the meantime...再見.*

* by the way, 再見 means Goodbye. In case you were wondering.
